Daniel relocated to Costa Rica in 2007, and quickly developed a deep understanding of the country’s coastal and lifestyle-driven real estate markets. His long-term immersion in Costa Rica, combined with an active connection to its coastal communities, has given him a nuanced perspective on location dynamics, land use, and long-term value creation in high-demand regions.
Daniel pursued his higher education at the University of Costa Rica, where he began a dual academic track in business administration and accounting in 2013. This background established a strong foundation in financial analysis, valuation, and investment structuring. His initial exposure to Costa Rican real estate began in 2009 through family investment activities, providing early hands-on experience with property acquisition, holding strategies, and capital appreciation.
In 2020, Daniel formally entered the real estate industry as a consultant specializing in the Guanacaste province. During a period of global market uncertainty, he identified market inefficiencies and emerging opportunities, positioning his clients to capitalize on favorable entry points. Since then, he has successfully advised and executed transactions across multiple asset classes, including development land, luxury beachfront properties, multifamily investments, and value-add residential projects.
Complementing his real estate expertise, Daniel brings over a decade of experience in the private lending sector. This background allows him to introduce clients to an expanded range of investment opportunities, particularly on the lending side, where investors can participate as private lenders secured by real estate assets. He structures and facilitates debt-based investments designed to prioritize capital preservation, predictable returns, and downside protection.
On the borrower side, Daniel works closely with property owners, developers, and investors to secure private capital efficiently. He assists clients in obtaining funding for construction projects, purchase completions, and equity recoupment through take-out financing, helping unlock capital tied up in existing assets. His ability to navigate both sides of the transaction—lender and borrower—provides clients with a strategic advantage and a more complete understanding of capital flows within the Costa Rican real estate market.
Daniel’s approach is highly analytical and investment-driven. He partners with investors and developers to evaluate opportunities based on fundamentals, market timing, and risk-adjusted returns. With a strong command of financial modeling, he specializes in creating detailed proformas, assessing feasibility, exit strategies, and ROI potential. His objective is to deliver clarity, transparency, and disciplined execution throughout the entire investment lifecycle.
